The DA Youth is targeting areas in the Tshwane and Metsweding municipalities where overgrown grass, which is meant to be cut by municipalities, provides a shelter for criminals. If the municipalities won’t cut the grass, we will. We hope that by being proactive about this issue we will pressure the authorities into action.
We will be kicking off this Saturday by clearing a piece of land in Soshanguve where several people have been attacked, assaulted and even killed by criminals hiding among the dense vegetation and rubbish.

Clinton van Loggenberg says:
This kind of work is the best way to get things done and show that we will not tolerate inaction. Everyone forgets that this is our country and that with our own hands we can get things done. Good on all those that participated, and I look forward to more action like this in the future and will definitely get involved where I can.
